Chef Marlyse has been teaching baking and pastry at Paul Smith鈥檚 美女萝莉 since 2017. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Northern Arizona University before becoming fascinated with food. She decided to follow her passion and earn her Associate of Applied Science in Culinary Arts from Eastern Maine Community 美女萝莉. After graduating, she taught at Eastern Maine, before moving to Burlington, Vermont, further honing her culinary and baking skills.
At Paul Smith’s 美女萝莉, she teaches foundational baking courses, retail bakery, chocolates, confections, and capstone, among other classes. She is excited to feed knowledge to the next generation of students and watch them grow professionally. Her favorite things to make are laminated doughs of all sorts, including croissants, puff pastries, and Danishes.
When she is not in the Cantwell Hall kitchen, she is鈥攚eather dependent鈥攇ardening, hiking, biking, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, or snuggling with her cats.
